Conde Named Assistant Track and Field Coach

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis track and field program announces the hiring on Emile Conde as the newest Bears' assistant coach. He begins his duties at WashU on September 8.
 
Conde comes to WashU from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind. where he has been a part of the track and field program since 2018. With the Little Giants, Conde worked with the jumps, multi and relays as well as on strength development and operations.
 
Additionally, Conde served as the travel coordinator for the program, the home meet director, the assistant high school meet director and the content creation specialist.
 
At Wabash, Conde was part of eight NCAC Men's Coaching Staffs of the Year while mentoring multiple all-region athletes and 14 NCAC/region champions.
 
Conde got his start in coaching at his alma mater, Ben Davis High School, in Indianapolis, Ind., working with both boys and girls in jumps and hurdles. Additionally, he spent two years as a middle school assistant track and field coach at Guion Creek Midde school in Indianapolis, Ind.
 
Conde spent time representing his home country, Guinea, on the international stage including the IAAF World Indoor Championships
 
A graduate of Marian University in Indianapolis, Conde earned degrees in exercise science and French as well as a minor in business administration. He was part of the track and field, cross country, and football teams at Marian.
