WASHU ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS
 
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Washington University in St. Louis men's track and field junior William Frohling was named College Sports Communicators Academic All-America First Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
 
Frohling is the 33rd Academic All-American in men's track and field/cross country history and the 240th in WashU history. He is the first to earn the honor since Loucas Xenakis earned second team honors in 2023-24.
 
The Shorewood, Wis. native holds a 4.0 grade-point average with a major in chemical engineering.
 
Frohling was a two-time UAA Track Athlete of the Week while earning Indoor All-UAA honors in the DMR, 800m, and 4x400m after winning the 800m and 4x400m relay. He also earned USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region honors in the same events. At the NCAA Indoor National Championships, he teamed up and earned USTFCCCA NCAA Div. III First Team All-American honors in the DMR. 

During the outdoor season, he once again earned All-UAA honors in the 800m, 4x400m, and 4x800m while winning the UAA title in the 800m and 4x800m. He also earned USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region honors in the 800m, and 4x400m.

Earlier this summer, he earned CSC Academic All-District and UAA Spring Academic All-Conference honors.
