ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team competed in three separate meets on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. The Bears participated at the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana, the Sycamore Open hosted by Indiana State, and the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite hosted by St. Francis (Ill.).
No team scores were kept.
Top Finishes from Billy Hayes Invitational:
- 100m
- Senior Jasmine Wright finished third with a time of 11. 99
- Junior Maya Davis also finished in the top 10 in ninth place with a time of 12.65
- 200m
- 400m
- Sophomore Quinn Bird was third in the event with the 10th best time in Div. III this spring, 55.03
- 400m Hurdles
- 800m (College)
- Senior Cate Stevens and sophomore Lauren Raley went back-to-back in third and fourth places, respectively
- Stevens cross the finish line at 2:12.59 and Raley ran through at 2:14.13
- 800m (Invite only)
- First-year Kate Delia was third with the new No. 1 time in Div. III this spring of 2:06.46.
- Delia's time is second best in program history
- Finishing in seventh was junior Caroline Echols who set the new No. 2 time in Div. III this season of 2:07.88
- Echols' time is fourth best in program history
- 4x100m Relay
- The team of Bird, junior Julia Coric, Davis, and Wright were second in a time of 47.32
- 4x400m Relay

- First-year Harper Karr finished in ninth place with her throw of 33.50m
- Long Jump
- Theisen leaped 5.48m to finish in fourth place
- Winkler was sixth with her jump of 5.01m

- Senior Mackenzie Walker was one of four, top-10 finishers for WashU in third place with her clear of 3.72m
- First-year Campbell Pallera was sixth with her jump of 3.58m
- First-year Talia West and junior Meredith Barr went back-to-back in eighth and ninth places with clears of 3.42 and 3.27, respectively

Top Finishes from St. Francis Fighting Chance:
- 5000m (Open)
- Junior Avery Nason was runner-up with her time of 17:42.86
- 3000m Steeplechase (Open)
- 1500m
- Junior Lucinda Laughlin not only won the event with a time of 4:20.98, but broke the school record that was set by Emma Kelley (4:22.76) back in 2024 by nearly two seconds.
- Senior Kate Rector also finished in the top 10 with her time of 4:33.17
- Senior Jillian Heth narrowly missed the top 10 in 12th place with a time of 3:35.27
- 3000m Steeple (Invite Only)
- Senior Riley Clark was third in the event with her time of 10:43.62
- Shot Put
- Senior Jenae Bothe claimed the win with her throw of 14.43m
WashU will have one more opportunity to record an NCAA Championship qualifying mark on Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 14 at the Augustana Last Chance Meet.
