GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field trio of senior Jenae Bothe, senior Mackenzie Walker, and junior Caroline Echols have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Both Bothe and Walker earned Second Team honors, while Echols was selected to the Third Team. All three have previously been named CSC Academic All-District for the 2025-26 academic year.
Bothe was a six-time indoor and four-time outdoor UAA Field Athlete of the Week this past year. She claimed the UAA Indoor and Outdoor shot put titles while earning All-UAA honors. For her efforts, she was named the UAA Indoor Most Outstanding Field Performer. After picking up USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region honors, Bothe finished third at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships in the shot put, earning First Team All-America honors. In the spring, she also was named USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region and NCAA Division III Outdoor National Runner-Up, earning her second All-America honor of the year.
She earned her degree in political science and graduated with a 3.91 GPA.
Walker was the UAA Indoor Field Athlete of the Week back on Jan. 26. She earned Indoor All-UAA honors in the pole vault, claiming the conference title. After being named USTFCCCA Indoor All-Midwest Region in the event, she finished as a Second Team All-American at the NCAA Indoor National Championships. During the spring, Walker was named Outdoor All-UAA in the pole vault after winning the UAA Outdoor Championship. A USTFCCCA Outdoor All-Midwest Region honoree, she finished in a tie for 14th at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships, earning Second Team All-America honors.
She graduated in May with a degree in English literature with a 3.98 GPA.
Echols was named the UAA Indoor Track Athlete of the Week twice during the indoor season while earning All-UAA honors in the 800m and 4x400m relay. She won the UAA title in both events as well. A USTFCCCA Indoor All-Midwest Region selection in both the 800m and 4x400m, Echols earned USTFCCCA NCAA Division III Second-Team All-America honors in the 800m. She also teamed up to win the NCAA Indoor National Championship in the 4x400m relay, picking up First Team All-America honors. During the outdoor season, she was the UAA Outdoor champion in the 4x800m relay, earning First Team All-UAA honors.
She finished her junior year with a 3.95 GPA in psychological & brain sciences.Â
