LA CROSSE, Wis. – National Runner-Up! The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team is the 2026 NCAA Div. III National Runner-Up after finishing second at the NCAA Championships that concluded on Saturday.
Host Wis.-La Crosse took the team title with 53 points. The Bears finished the meet with 42 points. Johns Hopkins (38 points), Calvin (36 points), and Centre (34 points) rounded out the top five teams.

- Sophomore Lucinda Laughlin was the national runner-up in the event with a personal best time of 4:17.31

- Junior Cate Christopher scored the final point in the event with her eighth-place finish.

- Bird, junior Julia Coric, Spytek, and Weird were national runner-up in the event
- They crossed the finish line in 3:42.74, scoring eight team points
