Laughlin, Bothe, Coaching Staff Earn All-Association Honors in Women's Indoor Track & Field

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – As they look to secure NCAA Championship spots this weekend, the No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's indoor track and field team began to collect season honors this week with the University Athletic Association (UAA) releasing the indoor season All-Association honors.

The Bears earned the top two athlete awards while also earning a coaching award. Sophomore Lucinda Laughlin was named the Most Outstanding Running Performer, while senior Jenae Bothe claimed the Most Outstanding Field Performer for their results at the 2026 UAA Indoor Championship.

The coaching staff, led by head coach Jeff Stiles, was named the 2026 UAA Women's Indoor Coaching Staff of the Year. The staff includes associate head coach Ray Williams and assistant coaches Stephen Fleagle, Nathan Freyling, Richard Lincoff, Lane Lohr, Gordon Reiter, Konstandina Spanoudakis, and Ebun Opata.

Bothe claimed the title in the shot put with a throw of 14.77m, outdistancing second place from Emory by 2.59m. She also finished fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 14.58m. In the shot put, she set a personal best and program record with a throw of 15.16m, the best in the NCAA this season by 0.61m.

Laughlin was a two-time UAA Champion last weekend. She claimed the 3000m run with a time of 9:38.76, narrowly defeating the runner-up from NYU (9:39.14). She was also part of the Distance Medley Relay team that claimed the UAA title and set a new top time in the country. They finished the race with a time of 11:36.17. The mark also set a new UAA record.

Both Laughlin and Bothe earned All-UAA honors. For their efforts across the two days, several team members secured All-UAA honors with their top-three finishes in both individual and relay events. Below is the list of the WashU honorees:
