ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team defeated Case Western Reserve University 2-0 on Saturday in the first UAA home match of the year. WashU is now 12-0 on the year with a 2-0 record in conference play.
The Bears got on the board in the 31
st minute as senior
Madi Foley put away her sixth goal of the season. Off a corner kick, sophomore
Monica Morales-Martinez's shot was blocked and Foley was there to finish off the play for a 1-0 lead.
WashU made it a two-goal lead 2:05 into the second half as senior
Sophie Viscovich played in a corner kick and junior
Kate Martin put in a long header for her first goal of the season.
As a team, the Bears registered 13 shots with seven on goal while CWRU had five with two on goal. WashU also had 11 corner kicks to the Spartans 11.

Cami Colpitts had three shots on the day, with all three on goal. Martin registered two shots with one on goal and Foley had two shots, both on goal.

Kassidy Lanthier made two saves in net for her second shutout of the season.
WashU is home again on Tuesday evening in the final non-conference matchup of the regular season against Illinois Wesleyan at 6 p.m.
