BATAVIA, Ill. – The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis golf team dropped both its matches on the first day of the 2025 UAA Championships.
The competition is four-team match play over two days, spanning three rounds, held at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio and hosted by Rochester University.
Competition features No. 1 Emory, No. 2 Carnegie Mellon, No. 3 WashU and No. 10 NYU.
Match 1: No. 2 Carnegie Mellon 4.5, No. 3 WashU 1.5
Junior
Amy Beanblossom tied with Samantha Wang while first-year
Jessy Young tied with Cecilia Jia. First-year
Saxon Skinner also tied with Claudia Zhang.
Senior
Tiffany Chan lost to Nikita Jadhav 3&1 while junior
Reagan Robinson fell to Emma Wong 1-up. Sophomore
Nicole McGuire lost to Alyssa Lim 5&3.
Match 2: No. 10 NYU 4, No. 3 WashU 2
Beanblossom beat Srishti Dhurandhar 4&2 while Young defeated Sonia Hao 1-up.
Chan fell to Tiya Chowdary 5&3 and Robinson lost to Shih Ting Tan 5&4. Skinner lost to Inha Jun 5&3.
The Bears wrap up competition tomorrow against No. 1 Emory at 9 a.m.
