DANVILLE, Ky. – The No. 5 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team defeated Centre 5-1 on the road on Saturday afternoon. Five different Bears scored en route to the win, putting WashU at 8-0-1 on the year.
The Bears wasted no time in taking a 1-0 lead as junior
Madi Foley scored 4:15 in. It marks Foley's second goal of the year.
After the rest of the first half was scoreless on both sides, WashU took a 2-0 lead in the 49
th minute as sophomore
Kate Martin scored her third goal of the season.

Olivia Clemons netted a goal to put the Bears up 3-0. It is Clemons' fifth goal of the year.

Ella Koleno netted her fourth goal of the season on a pass from junior
Sophie Viscovich.
Centre scored its lone goal of the game in the 71

Keira Smyser for her fourth goal of the year.
Clemons recorded a team-high eight shots on the day with five on goal while both Viscovich and Koleno had five shots apiece.
Sophomore starting goalkeeper
Kassidy Lanthier made two saves in nearly 64 minutes of action.
WashU dominated the stats, out-shooting Centre 30-4 with a 15-3 edge in shots on goal.
The Bears make the short trip to Millikin on Tuesday evening for a 7 p.m. contest before returning home on Saturday, October 4 for the UAA-opener against Brandeis at 1:30 p.m., which will be Youth and Campers Day.
