Clemons Scores Lone Goal as No. 1 WashU Women's Soccer Defeats North Central

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team beat North Central (NCC) on Friday night in a road game, 1-0. The Bears are 5-0 on the year and have not let up a goal.
 
WashU's lone goal was in the 23rd minute. Senior Kaci Karl sent a long ball up the field where sophomore Olivia Clemons controlled it and chipped it in past an out-of-net keeper. It marks Clemons' fourth goal of the year.
 
Statistically, the Bears had 28 shots with 15 on goal to NCC's seven total with one on goal. The Bears edged the Cardinals 5-3 on corner kicks.
 
In goal, sophomore Suzie Green made one save to earn her second shutout of the year.
 
The Bears are back on the road for an 11 a.m. ET game on Sunday at Trine. There will be no video available for the game against the Thunder, but fans can follow along with the live stats.
