ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Director of Athletics Anthony J. Azama has announced the promotion of Allen Rice to the newly created position of Events and Travel manager.
 
Rice will officially step into his new role on September 1.
 
Rice joined the WashU Athletic Department as the Varsity Travel Coordinator in September 2023 and has spent the last two years improving and enhancing the way WashU Athletics schedules team travel.
 
In this new role, Rice will continue to support varsity team travel while also working to manage varsity athletic events and other campus events hosted in athletic facilities.
