Ruff, Women's Coaching Staff Named to Top Women's Indoor Track & Field Awards

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Coming off its sixth-straight UAA Indoor Championship, the No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's indoor track and field team highlighted the league's 2025 indoor awards.

After dominating the pole vault all season and winning the UAA title by nearly three-quarters of a meter over second place, senior Yasmin Ruff was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer. Additionally, head coach Jeff Stiles and staff were named the Women's Coaching Staff of the Year, as announced by the league office on Friday, March 7.

Ruff, who won the pole vault every time she entered the event this winter, claimed the UAA title last Friday, March 2, shattering several records in the process. Her winning height of 4.16m set both a new facility and UAA record and increased her top mark in Div. III this winter. It was also the fifth-best all-time in Div. III.

Her previous best mark (4.10m) was set at the Midwest Elite Invitational two weeks before the UAA Indoor Championships. Ruff owns three of the top four marks this season, as well as seven of the top 13 this year in Div. III.

Ruff was also named the UAA Indoor Field Athlete of the Week five times this season, including every week in February.

For the sixth straight season, head coach Jeff Stiles and staff have been named Coaching Staff of the Year. This season, Stiles, along with associate head coach Ray Williams, and assistants Stephen Fleagle, Gordon Reiter, Lane Lohr, Kyle Laker, Richard Lincoff, and Konstadina Spanoudakis, took home the award for the 2025 indoor season.
