Lohr Named USTFCCCA Men's Midwest Region Indoor Assistant Coach of the Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Despite all his accolades over the years, Washington University in St. Louis track and field assistant coach Lane Lohr was named the 2025 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Men's Indoor Track and Field Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year for the first time in his career.

Lohr, in his 18th year as assistant coach at Washington (Mo.), coached four Bears pole vaulters to qualify for the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, with three earning All-America honors. At the UAA Indoor Championships, with a limit of three entries per event, his vaulters went 1-2-4 for 23 points.

Lohr has been honored several times by the USTFCCCA as an assistant coach for both indoor and outdoor at different levels, but this marks the first men's indoor regional assistant coach of the year honor for him. In addition to being on several coaching staffs of the year, Lohr has previously won the Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2009, 2014, 2017, and 2019, all on the women's side.
