CHICAGO, Ill. – The No. 15 Washington University in St. Louis completed the Midwest Invitational, hosted by the University of Chicago, on Saturday.

• 200 Medley Relay
  • First-year Elizabeth Oyler, senior Caroline DeLuca, sophomore Kiera Johnson and junior Nicole Caruso finished second in 1:50.73
     
• 100 Butterfly
  • Sophomore Anya Rao finished second with a time of 58.53
  • Johnson took third in 58.80
  • First-year Julia Pintescu took fifth in 59.06
     
• 200 Freestyle
  • First-year Anisa Basler took fourth in 1:56.04
  • Sophomore Holly Gmelich finished fifth in 1:59.53
     
• 100 Backstroke
  • Oyler took fourth in 1:00.05
     
• 1,650 Freestyle
  • Gmelich finished second with a time of 18:04.84
     
• 100 IM
  • Caruso won with a time of 1:04.27
     
• 200 Backstroke
  • Oyler finished second with a time of 2:08.29

  • Basler won the field in 53.03
     
• 200 Breaststroke
  • Pintescu took second with a time of 2:29.85

Next weekend, the Bears' divers will compete in the NCAA Regional qualifier for a chance at reaching nationals. The NCAA Championships begin on Wednesday, March 19 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
