ATLANTA, Ga. – The No. 15 Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team is in fourth place with 380 points following day two of the 2025 UAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by Emory University.
Top Finishers:
- 3-Meter Diving
- Sophomore Shanze Karimi finished in sixth place with a score of 419.50
- Earned 24 points for the Bears
- Had a preliminary score of 428.45
- Sophomore Madi Okon finished in eighth place with a score of 399.55
- Picked up 22 points for WashU
- Had a preliminary score of 416.95
- 200 Freestyle Relay
- 500 Freestyle
- Junior Ali Roche finished fifth in the B final and 13th overall with a time of 5:01.18
- Senior Isabellia Barrientos finished seventh in the B final and 15th overall with a time of 5:02.69
- Sophomore Rachel Bello finished eighth in the B final and 16th overall with a time of 5:02.85
- 200 IM
- Iimi finished fourth in the B final and 12th overall with a time of 2:06.82
- Earned 15 points for the Bears
- 50 Freestyle
- Gattone won the C final with a time of 24.06
- Earned nine points for WashU
- 400 Medley Relay
- Sophomore Elizabeth Chen, Lee, Watson and Qi finished fourth with a time of 3:46.79
- Barrientos, first-year Becca Hackel, Mink and Bello finished fifth in the B final and 13th overall with a time of 3:54.06
Competition continues tomorrow, Friday, February 14 with the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke. Preliminary competition begins at 10 a.m. ET with finals at 5:30 p.m. ET.
