UNITED SOCCER COACHES RELEASE

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Five players from the No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team earned United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's All-Region VIII honors, the organization announced on Tuesday morning.

Sophomore Olivia Clemons, senior Grace Ehlert, sophomore Kate Martin, and junior Sophie Viscovich were named to the first team, while senior Ella Koleno was named to the third team.

Clemons, who was named UAA Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, leads the Bears with 17 goals and 39 points. She has scored three game-winners and recorded five assists. This is Clemons' second First Team All-Region honor.

Ehlert ranks second among the Bears with 14 goals and 31 points and is tied for the top with four game-winning goals. Additionally, she has dished out three assists. This marks the third All-Region honor for Ehlert, as she earned First Team All-Region honors last season and a Second Team nod as a sophomore in 2023.

Martin, although primarily a defensive midfielder, has scored four goals with three assists, including the assist on the game-winning overtime golden goal in the Elite 8, which sent the Bears to the Final Four for the third straight year. This is Martin's first All-Region honor.

Viscovich is an anchor for the Bears in the midfield. She has scored four goals and dished out nine assists, which ranks second among the Bears. She has scored one game-winner and tallied 39 shots on goal. This marks Viscovich's second straight First Team All-Region honor.

Koleno ranks third on the team with eight goals and leads the Bears with 11 assists on the year. She is tied with Ehlert for a team-leading four game-winning goals. This is Koleno's second career All-Region honor, as she earned First Team honors in 2023 as a sophomore.

The Bears play UAA foe Chicago in the National Semifinal on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. ET. The winner will advance to the National Championship game against the winner of Emory/Tufts.
