No. 6 WashU Men's Swimming and Diving Wrap Up Phoenix Fall Classic in Second

CHICAGO, Ill. – The No. 6 Washington University in St. Louis men's swimming and diving team finished second with 1,906.5 points at the Phoenix Fall Classic, hosted by the University of Chicago. The three-day tournament was held at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.

  • 200 Medley Relay
  • 400 IM
    • Junior Marco Minai finished ninth with an NCAA B cut of 3:57.44
      • Minai finished sixth in the preliminary with a B cut time of 3:56.96
         
  • 100 Butterfly
    • Walker claimed third with a time of 49.30
       
  • 200 Freestyle
  • 100 Breaststroke
    • Schrepfer finished fifth with a time of 56.07
    • Sophomore Gabriel Herzlinger took seventh in 56.28
       
  • 100 Backstroke
    • Parseghian claimed fourth with a time of 49.90
    • Senior Andy Zhu finished ninth in 51.30
    • Sophomore Nicholas Frank won the B final with a time of 50.50
    • Sophomore Jack Sieckhaus took second in the B final in 50.63
       
  • 800 Freestyle Relay
    • Minai, Tavens, first-year Gavin Coggan and Feng finished third with a time o 6:41.64
    • Walker, senior Orluke Borjigin, senior Matthew Giardinelli and first-year Alex Nguyen took sixth in 6:49.93

    • Sieckhaus took ninth in 1:51.27
       
  • 100 Freestyle
    • Feng finished second in the B final and 12th overall with a time of 45.84

    • Schrepfer finished sixth with a time of 2:02.63
    • Herzlinger took eighth in 2:03.28
