ALL-TIME WASHU ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS
 
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Washington University in St. Louis men's swimming and diving junior Marco Minai has earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third Team honors, the organization announced today.
 
Minai is a biomedical engineering major with a 3.72 grade-point average.
 
As a department, WashU now has 236 Academic All-Americans and the men's swimming and diving program has nine.
 
Minai has had a stellar career for the Bears thus far, most recently setting two new program records and racking up several podium finishes at the NCAA Championships. He finished third at the NCAA Championships in the 400 IM, posting a time of 3:50.81 and finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:46.18.
 
Additionally, Minai finished third in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:45.91 and was part of the 400 freestyle relay team that finished 13^th with a time of 2:59.01. This year, Minai earned four All-America honors and has seven for his career.
 
Minai is a two-time Academic All-UAA honoree, earned CSCAA Scholar All-America a season ago and was named CSC Academic All-District earlier this month.
