ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team defeated North Central 5-1 on Friday afternoon behind a hat trick from first-year
Olivia Clemons. The Bears are now 3-0 on the season heading into three road games.

Ally Hackett also had a multi-goal performance, netting two goals as a defender. Hers was the first goal of the game just 2:25 in, taking a corner kick from
Sara Giannotti and shouldering the ball in for a 1-0 lead.
North Central's Victoria Jaimes evened the score at the 7:01 mark, putting in a pass from Gabriello Mattio.
Clemons gave the Bears a 2-1 lead in the 38
th minute, scoring off a corner kick from
Allie Goulding.
Clemons struck again for her second goal of the day, putting in a breakaway run in the 70
th minute for a 3-1 lead.
Hackett added another goal 10 minutes later in the 80
th minute off a corner kick from
Sam McKibben.
Similar to her second goal, Clemons scored off another breakaway run in the 87
th minute, securing the 5-1 win for WashU.
Statistically, WashU had 19 shots compared to NCC's five and had 11 corner kicks to the Cardinals' four. In goal, keeper
Sidney Conner made three saves for her third win of the season.
The Bears hit the road on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. match at Westminster, followed by two road games this weekend, starting with a 7:30 p.m. match at DePauw on Friday and a 3 p.m. match against Rhodes (at DePauw) on Saturday.
