CHICAGO, Ill. – The No. 14 Washington University in St. Louis men's swimming and diving team finished fifth at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships with 1,105 points.
Junior
Ryan Hillery earned a spot on the podium in the 1,650 freestyle, taking seventh place with an NCAA B cut time of 15:49.74. Sophomore
Orluke Borjigin finished second in the B Final and 10
th overall with a time of 15:53.22 while junior
Jeffrey Forbes took 11
th overall and third in the B Final with a time of 15:53.70.

Alex McCormick had the best finish of the day for the Bears, taking second in the 200 backstroke with an NCAA B cut and 2023 qualifying time of 1:43.30. Senior
Kyle Wolford finished fourth, hitting an NCAA B cut and 2023 qualifying time of 1:46.48.

Austin Bick took fourth in the 100 freestyle, notching a time of 45.44. Junior
Justin Rockaway finished 11
th overall and third in the B Final with a time of 45.46.
First-year
Marco Minai earned a spot on the podium in the 200 butterfly, finishing eight with a time of 1:50.41. Junior
Danny Sibley won the B Final and finished ninth overall with an NCAA B cut time of 1:49.75.
WashU's team of Sibley, Bick, Rockaway and sophomore
Ethan Feng finished fifth in the 400 freestyle relay, hitting an NCAA B cut and 2023 qualifying time of 2:59.13.
The Bears have one final meet before the NCAA Championships as they head back to Chicago next weekend for the Midwest Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The NCAA Championships begin on March 20.
