Decatur, Ill. – The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team won 16 events at the 2023 Big Blue Friday Night Invite, hosted by Millikin University.

The 4x100 team of

Jasmine Wright,
Lauren Hamilton and
Nicole Stewart finished first, running a time of 46.82.
Sophomore
Lauren Gay won the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.46 which ranks 22
nd nationally and sixth in program history while senior
Charis Riebe finished second in 14.52 which ranks 25
th nationally and eighth in program history.
First-year
Riley Clark won the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 11:35.22.
Clay and Gay tied for first in the 100m with times of 12.30. Wright finished second with a time of 12.37 while Hamilton took third in 12.60. Junior
Natalie Swinehart rounded out the top five with a time of 12.66.
Senior
Aoife Dunne won the 800m with a time of 2:12.09. Senior
Sophie Fox took second in 2:13.21 which ranks 17
th nationally, while first-year
Cate Stevens finished third in 2:18.91. Sophomore
Virginia Pridgen took fourth in 2:19.20 and sophomore
Morgan Fowler claimed fifth with a time of 2:20.77.

Ruby Kaplan won the 400m hurdles, running a time of 1:05.52 followed by senior
Sejal Rajamani in second with a time of 1:09.03.
Stewart won the 200m, racing to a time of 25.01 which ranks 34
th nationally and is tied for sixth in program history. Wright claimed third in 25.83 and Clay took fourth in 25.89. Junior
Gemma Please rounded out the top five with a time of 26.59.

Emma Kelley won the 1,500m, racing to a time of 4:29.91 which ranks fourth nationally and sixth in program history. Senior
Lindsay Ott took second in 4:35.86 which ranks 20

Alexandra Blake finished fifth with a time of 4:42.39.
The 4x400 team of Stewart, Dunne, Fox and Kelley won the field with a time of 3:51.86 which ranks 10
th nationally. The group of Kaplan, Sarussi, Fowler and Ott took third in 4:02.77.

Julia Thigpen won the 5,000m, racing to a time of 18:35.66.

Krista Sudar finished fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 43.73m.
First-year Kally Mac finished third in the discus, hitting a mark of 39.88m while Sudar took fourth with a throw of 37.85m.

Jenae Bothe won the shot put, hitting a mark of 13.26m. Sudar finished fifth with a throw of 11.48m.

Rafaela Diamond won the javelin with a throw of 32.59m.

Miku Okada won the high jump, clearing 1.65m which is tied for fifth in program history and is tied for 17
