Greenville, Ill. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team won the Greenville Select meet on Saturday, racking up 258.50 points, more than 100 points more than second-place Greenville with 148.00.
Track
Sophomore Lauren gay won the 100m hurdles, racing to a time of 14.69.
Junior
Ally Sarussi took first in the 1,500m with a time of 4:36.91 which ranks 20
th nationally. Senior
Ella Behrens finished second in 4:39.73 which ranks 39
th nationally while
Kiera Olson took third in 4:43.06.
The Bears team of
Jasmine Wright, Gay,
Lauren Hamilton and
Nicole Stewart won the 4x100 with a time of 47.05 which is tied for fourth nationally and fourth in program history.
First-year
Elizabeth Wagner finished sixth in the 400m, racing to a time of 1:02.50.
Stewart, a sophomore, won the 100m, running a time of 12.17 while senior
Mycah Clay finished third in 12.26. Hamilton took fourth with a time of 12.32.
Junior
Emma Kelley won the 800m, racing to a time of 2:06.17 which is a new program record ranks first nationally. It is also the seventh-fastest time in Division III history. Senior Aoife Dunn took second in 2:08.67 which ranks second nationally and third in program history while graduate
Danielle Schultz finished third in 2:14.34 which ranks 16
th nationally.
Gay also won the 200m with a time of 24.41 which ranks second in program history and sixth nationally. Hamilton took third in 25.45 while Wright took fourth in 25.52 and junior
Kathryn Leighty finished fifth in 26.11. Junior
Gemma Pleas rounded out the top sixth with a time of 26.28.
Sophomore
Ruby Kaplan won the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:06.90 and senior
Sejal Rajamani finished second in 1:09.98.
The Bears also won the 4x400 as the team of
Sophie Fox, Dunne, Schultz and Kelley finished in 3:50.73. The team of Leighty,
Morgan Fowler, Sarussi and Kapaln took second in 4:01.20 and the group of
Margaux Thigpen,
Izzy Gorton,
Cate Stevens and
Kristin Loftus took third in 4:08.20.

Graduate
Miku Okada won the high jump, clearing 1.63m while senior
Laura Bucchieri tied for fourth, clearing 1.48m.
Sophomore
Yasmin Ruff won the pole vault, clearing 3.68m while sophomore
Makenzie Stock took second, clearing 3.18m.
Junior
Ebun Opata won the long jump, hitting a mark of 5.63m which ranks 12
th nationally while first-year
Danielle Cuthbert took fourth with a mark of 5.07m.
Opata also won the triple jump, hitting 11.57m while Cuthbert took seventh with a jump of 10.47m.
First-year
Kally Mack took second in the discus, hitting a mark of 37.06m and sophomore
Taylor Simpson finished eighth with a throw of 30.67m. Sophomore
Danya Goldstein finished third in the first flight of the discus, hitting a mark of 27.81m.
Simpson finished sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 43.07m. Mack won the first flight of the hammer with a mark of 39.09m.
Junior
Rafaela Diamond took second in the javelin, hitting 34.01m.
First-year
Jenae Bothe won the shot put with a mark of 13.38m which sets a new school record and ranks 20
th nationally. Simpson finished fifth with a throw of 11.57m.
The Bears head to the UAA Outdoor Championships next weekend in Chicago.
