St. Louis, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team won the WashU 5-way meet with 335.33 points on Saturday to open its outdoor slate.

Nicole Stewart won the 100m dash with a time of 12.21, which ranks ninth nationally while first-year
Jasmine Wright finished second in 12.27, which ranks 10

Natalie Swinehart took eighth with a time of 12.75.

Lauren Gay won the 200m dash with a time of 24.96 which is tied for fourth nationally while Stewart finished second in 25.13, which ranks ninth nationally. Hamilton finished fourth in 26.46 and Swinehart took fifth in 26.51. Junior

The Bears' team of Wagner, Fowler, Thigpen and Schultz won the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:05.11 which ranks 12
th nationally while the team of Ott, Teixeira-Dasilva, Gorton and Stevens took second in 4:07.73 which ranks 21

Rafaela Diamond finished second in the javelin with a throw of 107-03. Sophomore
Danya Goldstein finished seventh with a throw of 83-00.

Krista Sudar finished third in the hammer throw, recording a mark of 140.08 which ranks 37

Kally Mack placed third in the discus with a throw of 125-09 which ranks 24

The Bears swept the top three places in the pole vault, led by sophomore
Yasmin Ruff who cleared 11-11.75, which is tied for eighth nationally. Junior
Anna Curtis finished second with a clear of 10-06.00 which ranks 33
rd nationally and sophomore
Makenzie Stock tied for third with 10-00.00 which ranks 50
th nationally.
Graduate student
Miku Okada won the high jump, clearing 5-04.25 which is tied for fifth nationally. Junior
Maddie Moenickheim took third, clearing 5-01.00 and senior
Laura Bucchieri finished fourth, clearing 5-01.00 which are both tied for 17
th nationally.
The Bears are back home next weekend with the WashU Distance Carnival on Friday and the WashU Invite on Saturday.
