Atlanta, Ga. – The No. 13 Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team is in sixth place with 348 points following day two of the UAA Championships, hosted by Emory University.
The Bears 200 freestyle relay team of
Andrea Leng,
Lauren Antonowich,
Riyapreet Sahota and
Noelle DiClemente finished fifth, racing to a time of 1:35.30. The group of
Sophia Gossum,
Caroline DeLuca,
Yasmeen Ibrahim and
Kayleigh Lewis finished fifth in the B final and 13
th overall with a time of 1:37.55.
First-year
Anna Fonda finished seventh in the 500 freestyle, swimming to a time of 5:03.38. Sophomore
Isabella Barrientos finished fifth in the B final and 13
th overall with a time of 5:02.77.
A pair of first-years reached the podium in the 200 IM, led by a fifth-place finish from
Rin Iimi in 2:06.17.
Ali Roche took eighth with a time of 2:08.53.
WashU's team of Roche, Sahota,
Mikayla Klein and Iimi took sixth in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:54.54. The group of Deluca,
Maggie Teng, Antonowich, and Lewis finished fourth in the B final and 12
th overall in 3:54.69.
Action resumes tomorrow with the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke. Preliminaries will begin at 10 a.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m.
