Atlanta, Ga. – The No. 13 Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team sits in eighth place following day one of the UAA Championships, hosted by Emory University.
The Bears have 52 points while NYU and Chicago are tied for first with 96 points.
The first day of the championships consisted of the 800 freestyle relay.

The championships continue tomorrow with the 200 freestyle relay, 500 freestyle relay, 200 IM, 50 freestyle, 400 medley relay and women's 3-meter diving. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m.
