Whitewater, Wis. – The No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team finished second at the Midwest Elite Invitational, hosted by UW-Whitewater, with 133 points. UW-La Crosse won with 208 points.

Ebun Opata won the long jump with a leap of 5.62m and Bucchieri took ninth with a jump of 5.05m.
Opata also won the triple jump with a mark of 12.08m.

Miku Okada finished third in the high jump, clearing 1.61m while senior
Laura Bucchieri took sixth with a mark of 1.56m.
Sophomore
Yasmin Ruff took second in the pole vault, clearing 3.71m while sophomore
Makenzie Stock took ninth with a mark of 3.26m.
First-year
Jenae Bothe took second in the shot put, hitting a mark of 13.31m which sets a new program record and ranks 22
nd nationally.
