Box Score Salem, Va. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team finished as the National Runner-Up on Saturday afternoon, falling to California Lutheran 1-0 in the title game. It is the third time in program history the Bears have finished as the National Runner-Up.

The Regals scored what proved to be the game-winner at the 16:39 mark when Isabella Veljacic fired off a high corner shot to make it a 1-0 game.
WashU's best chance of the day was in the 61
st minute when junior Sara Gianotti drilled a hard shot that just missed going in the goal, hitting off the post and bouncing away.
The Bears continued to put the offensive pressure on the Regals in the second half, getting off more shot on goal as the clock ticked down.
Ally Hackett's attempt in the 70
th minute was saved by Cal. Lu goalkeeper Kelsey Slaugh. WashU had numerous other offensive pushes that did not result in shots.
Offensively, Cal. Lu outshot the Bears 9-6. In goal, Conner made three saves. Conner rounds out her Bears' career first in program history with 34 shutouts, first for single-season shutouts with 16, tied for fourth with 36 career wins, sixth in goals-against average (0.61) and sixth in career saves (153).
