Granville, Ohio – The No. 20 Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team are currently in fifth with 553 points at the Denison Invitational.
In the first event of the day, the 200 medley relay, the team of Caroline Deluca,
Riyapreet Sahota,
Mikayla Klein and
Andrea Leng finished sixth with a time of 1:46.72, cutting more than two seconds off the preliminary time. The team of
Alice Han,
Maggie Teng,
Lauren Antonowich and
Kayleigh Lewis finished 10
th in 1:47.93, shaving more than 1.5 seconds off their preliminary time.
First-year
Rin Iimi was the top Bears' finisher in the 400 IM, taking seventh in 4:28.28 and hitting an NCAA B cut.
First-year
Avery Dixon finished sixth in the B final and 15
th overall in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.31.
Sophomore
Isabella Barrientos was the top WashU finisher in the 200 freestyle, taking fifth in the B final and 14
th overall, racing to a time of 1:53.41.
Sahota hit an NCAA B cut and finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.34, shaving nearly a second off her preliminary time. Teng finished fourth in the B final and 13
th overall in 1:05.78.
First-year
Ali Roche was the top Bears' finisher in the 100 backstroke, taking third in the B final and 12
th overall with a time of 58.37. Leng, a first-year, finished 14
th in 58.64 while Han took 15
th in 58.80 and Deluca finished 16
th in 59.05.
In the final race of the day, the 800 freestyle relay, the team of Iimi, Barrientos, Anna Fond and Antonowich took fifth, hitting an NCAA B cut time of 7:36.80.
WashU wraps up the Denison Invitational tomorrow with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.

DIVING
The divers headed to Iowa for the Grinnell Invitational.
Junior
Rosie Finglass won the 3-meter board, racking up 406.15 points and edging second place by nearly four points.
The Bears will wrap up the Grinnell Invitational tomorrow. Preliminaries will kick off at 9 a.m. with finals at 5 p.m.
