D'Angelo Solomon was announced as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations on April 6, 2022.
Solomon came to WashU from Division I Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he spent three-and-a-half years as the Associate Athletic Director for Revenue Generation and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion designee.
In that role, Solomon was part of the Executive Leadership Team and managed various unit leaders including ticket sales, ticket operations, communication, broadcasting and marketing. He oversaw the multimedia rights partnership with Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment, LLC and creates community-specific events to engage the campus and community while building support and awareness for Miami Athletics. Additionally, Solomon worked closely with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion for athletic-specific programming. He also served as the Sport Administrator for men's and women's cross country and track and field.
Solomon also had a previous stint at Miami from 2006-2010, serving as the Assistant Director of Sales and Service. In that role, he directed the athletic department sales staff, assisted with developing and implementing revenue-generation plans, increased attendance, worked with existing and new season ticket holders and implemented in-game promotions.
In addition to collegiate athletic experience, Solomon has an abundance of banking experience, working primarily in Georgia and Ohio with his most previous role at PNC Bank from 2010 to 2018 as both a Business Banking Relationship Manager and Licensed Private Client Group Relationship Manager.
Solomon, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Wake Forest University.
