St. Louis, Mo., May 16, 2019 – Senior Chloe DiPetrillo and freshmen Julia Dai and Lydia Tsai were awarded 2019 All-Central Region honors by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), as announced Wednesday as announced at the WGCA Awards Banquet in Houston.
DiPetrillo is a four-time WGCA All-Central honoree, and entered the national championship as the Bears highest ranked individual at No. 45. She has shot in the 70s in 12 of 18 rounds played this year, while averaging 77.65 strokes over the course of the season.
Dai entered the national championship week as the 53rd ranked player nationally. She has totaled 11 rounds in the 70s this season, including a first round seven-over 79 on day one of nationals. Dai held a 78.39 scoring average entering this week of play.
Tsai also ranked in the top-100 golfer's in Division III heading into the national tournament. She was listed 85th and followed that ranking with a day-one score of two-over 74. It was the eighth time that Tsai has shot in the 70s, including the fourth time below 75.
