POLICIES:
 
  1. Proper athletic attire must be worn while participating in activity areas. Shirts, shoes, and pants/shorts are required. 
  2. Non-marking athletic shoes with clean soles are required for using the courts.
  3. Exercise good sporting behavior. Fighting, kicking balls, unruly conduct, profanity, and rough play will not be tolerated and will be grounds for removal from the facility.
  4. Food of any kind is not permitted on the courts.
  5. Dunking is permitted, but hanging on the rim or net is prohibited.
  6. Kicking soccer/futsal balls is prohibited on the Rec Courts, except for in intramural play.
  7. Do not attempt to raise/lower baskets or partition curtains, remove volleyball/ badminton/pickleball nets, or move any other equipment. Contact a facility host for assistance.
  8. Outdoor sports, including throwing Frisbees, baseballs and footballs, are prohibited on the Rec Courts.
  9. Spitting on the courts or in the drinking fountains is prohibited.
  10. Backpacks and other personal items are not permitted on or around the courts. Store all belongings in or in front of temporary lockers, against the wall or on/under benches. All walkways between and around courts should be clear at all times. WashU Rec is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.
  11. Weights, kettle bells or any other exercise equipment that can cause damage to the floor is not allowed. 
  12. Glass bottles and open containers are prohibited in the facility. Only plastic bottles and beverage containers with lids are permitted. Water is the only beverage permitted on or around the courts.
  13. Report equipment damage or any facility-related injuries to a facility host.
  14. When courts are in demand, participants should use a waiting system that allows other individuals to play in. Court 3 has a detailed challenge court system.
  15. Recreation programs, including intramural sports, have priority use of the courts.
  16. Each court has designated priority activities on specific days or times. A court can be used for any of the allowed activities until a request is made for the priority activity. Any existing games or activities will be given 5 minutes to wrap up their game.
  17. Personal training and private lessons are not permitted in the facility unless properly arranged through WashU Rec.
  18. Photography and filming are not permitted in the facility without approval from the WashU Rec administrative staff.
Recreation staff members have the final say in policy interpretation and enforcement. Failure to comply with any of these policies may result in temporary or permanent loss of recreation privileges.
