Why work for Intramural Sports? Because without student staff there wouldn't be IMs. Student referees, scorekeepers, program assistants, and supervisors run games and ensure a safe and fun environment for fellow students.
Hours are flexible, students submit their availability and are scheduled off of that each week. We understand you are a student first and schedules change week to week. Shifts are never longer than 3.5 hours long and are typically between Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-11pm and Saturday/Sunday 12pm-11pm. Most students work between 7-10 hours a week but number of hours are also flexible. Pay starts at $14.25/hour and the uniform top + whistle is provided.
No experience is necessary, we will train officials for each sport through rules and field/court clinics. All that's required is a general understanding of the sport and a desire to learn. Opportunities to referee flag football, soccer, volleyball, and basketball are available.
