Rowing
We are WashU Rowing, a combined women's and men's crew team that competes at the highest levels of intercollegiate club rowing. We are coached by Andrew Black. Both teams are made up of students from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from playing a different sport previously to no sports experience at all to multiple years of rowing experience.
Since our founding in 1985, we have been the official rowing team for the university, competing at regattas across the nation and collecting wins. Some of our recent highlights include taking 2nd place nationally in both the Women's 2x and Men's 2- events at the American Collegiate Rowing Association championship and 3rd nationally in the Women's 2- events.
Our boathouse sits on the shore of Creve Coeur Lake - the site of the rowing events in the 1904 World Olympic Games, and arguably one of the best places to watch a Missouri sunrise. Our on-the-water practices take place on the lake (transportation provided), while our indoor training occurs at South Campus, just a mile south of the South 40.
We would love to have you join us! If you are interested or have any questions at all, please reach out :)
