REC COURTS

Sumers Rec Courts - 1  Sumers Rec Courts - 2

Welcome to the heart of indoor recreational sports at WashU – the Rec Courts. Here, enthusiasts of basketball, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball come together in one arena that's not only dedicated to open rec play but also sets the stage for intramural sports competitions.

What truly sets the Rec Courts apart is its visual masterpiece – a testament to WashU's spirit and St. Louis' iconic landmarks. We house the largest gym floor wood stain mural in the Midwest, stretching across all three courts. It's not just a mural; it's a journey through time and place, featuring the majestic Brookings Hall, the timeless Francis Field Gates, and the iconic silhouette of the Gateway Arch. Let this awe-inspiring artwork inspire your play and remind you of the rich heritage surrounding WashU and St. Louis.
