FARMINGTON, Pa. – The No. 4 Washington University in St. Louis golf team opened the Tartan Invitational, hosted by Carnegie Mellon, on Monday with two rounds of play.
The invitational is being held at Nemacolin Resort on the Shepherd's Rock course which is a par 72 course spanning 7,290 yards.
Play was suspended due to darkness, with three of 18 teams still playing and will continue tomorrow morning prior to round three. At the conclusion of play, the Bears were in seventh with a 595.
WashU shot a 308 in the first round and came back to shoot a 287 in round two.
First-year
Eliza Meltzer carded a 144 (74,70) while senior
Amy Beanblossom has a 146 (78, 68).
Sophomore
Saxon Skinner, playing as an individual, shot a 148 (78, 70) and senior
Reagan Robinson shot a 150 (76, 74).
Junior
Nicole McGuire carded a 156 (81, 75) and sophomore
Angela Chen is at 158 (80, 78).
The second round will conclude tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. ET, prior to all teams beginning the third and final round.
