BATAVIA, Ohio – The Washington University in St. Louis golf team finished tied for third at the UAA Championships, which concluded on Tuesday.
 
The competition was four-team match play over two days, spanning three rounds, held at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio and hosted by NYU. Elks Run is a 6,845-yard championship course.
 
WashU 4, NYU 2 (third-place match)
Junior Nicole McGuire beat Sonia Hao 1-up while sophomore Jessy young defeated Elisa Xue 2&1.
 
First-year Eliza Meltzer beat Carrie Li 1-up and senior Amy Beanblossom beat Yoyo Fu 4&3.
 
Senior Reagan Robinson fell to Inha Jun 4&3 while sophomore Angela Chen lost to Shih Ting Tan 1-up.
 
Next up for the Bears, they head to Carnegie Mellon's Tartan Invitational on Monday Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, Pa.
