BATAVIA, Ohio – The Washington University in St. Louis golf team dropped two matches on the first day of the UAA Championships on Monday.
 
The competition is four-team match play over two days, spanning three rounds, held at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio and hosted by NYU. Elks Run is a 6,845-yard championship course.
 
Emory 4.5, WashU 1.5
Junior Nicole McGuire beat Hannah Mun 2&1.
 
Sophomore Angela Chen tied with Carys Code, who won the 2025 Individual National Championship.
 
Senior Reagan Robinson lost to Amanda Zheng 2&1 while sophomore Jessy Young fell to Zimo Li 5&4.
 
First-year Eliza Meltzer lost to Julia Paek 4&2 and senior Amy Beanblossom fell to Esther Jung 1-up.
 
Carnegie Mellon 4.5, WashU 1.5
Chen defeated Thea Tan 2-up and Young tied Yixuan Chen. Young had a hole-in-one on the eighth hole, using a nine iron at the 132-yard hole.
 
Robinson fell to Alyssa Lim 1-up and McGuire lost to Samantha Wang 4&3.
 
Meltzer lost to Nikita Jadhav 3&2 and Beanblossom fell to Jingan Huang 2&1.
 
The Bears will play in the third-place match tomorrow against NYU at 8 a.m. ET.
