BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The No. 6/7 Washington University in St. Louis golf team won the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan, with a two-day score of 607 (296, 311). This marks the third tournament of the spring season that the Bears have won.
The tournament was held at the Ironwood Golf Course, which is a par-72 course spanning 5,823 yards.
Two Bears finished among the top 10. No. 6 junior
Amy Beanblossom finished third with a 148 (74, 74) and No. 49 senior
Athena Nguyen finished sixth with a 150 (71, 79).

Reagan Robinson and senior No. 94
Tiffany Chan finished in a four-way tie for 13
th with 155. Robinson shot a 78 on day one and 77 on day two while Chan had a 76 followed by a 79.

Saxon Skinner tied for 17
th with a 156 (75, 81) and first-year No. 44
Jessy Young tied for 20
th with a 157 (78, 79).
No. 59 junior
Nicole McGuire tied for 33
rd with a 161 (80, 81) and first-year
Angela Chen tied for 52
nd with a 166 (85, 81). Sophomore
Mabrie McMahan tied for 79
th with a 172 (89, 83).
The Bears have one final competition of the regular season next weekend when they head to Emory's Deb Jackson Invitational at the West Pine Golf Club in Douglasville, Ga.
