BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis golf team sits atop the standings with a 296 following the first day of Illinois Wesleyan's Kathy Niepagan Spring Fling. The tournament is being held at the Ironwood Golf Course, which is a par-72 course spanning 5,823 yards.
 
Senior Athena Nguyen is in second, carding a 71 in round one. Junior Amy Beanblossom is tied for sixth with a 74.
 
First-year Saxon Skinner is tied for 10^th with a 75 and senior Tiffany Chan is tied for 12^th with a 76.
 
Junior Reagan Robinson and first-year Jessy Young are in an 11-way tie with a 78.
 
Sophomore Nicole McGuire is tied for 39^th with an 80 and first-year Angelo Chen is tied for 69^th with an 84. Sophomore Mabrie McMahan is tied for 97^th with an 89.
 
The Bears wrap up play tomorrow, beginning at 9 a.m.
