WashU in Fifth in LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Standings Following Winter

WINTER STANDINGS
 
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Washington University in St. Louis finished the winter ranked No. 5 in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings, as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Thursday.
 
Women's track and field earned 90 points for WashU after finishing second at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Men's basketball earned 83 points after reaching the Final Four and finishing third. Men's swimming and diving notched 70.5 points with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Women's swimming picked up 53.5 points with a 20th-place finish at nationals and men's track and field earned 52.5 points with a 20th-place finish.
 
Johns Hopkins leads the standings with 856.00 points. In total, three UAA institutions are among the Top 10 nationally.
 
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Points are award based on each institution's finish in the NCAA Championships.
 
The final Directors' Cup rankings will be released on June 10.
