FARMINGTON, Pa. – The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team finished fourth with a 574 at the Tartan Invitational, hosted by Carnegie Mellon. The tournament was held at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort on the Mystic Rock Course which is a par 72 spanning 5,663 yards.
Senior
Athena Nguyen led the way for the Bears, tying for fourth with a 139 (68, 71).
First-year
Saxon Skinner finished 12
th with a 142 (71, 71) while junior
Amy Beanblossom tied for 16
th with a 144 (72, 72).
Sophomore
Nicole McGuire tied for 27
th with a 149 (75, 74) and first-year
Jessy Young tied for 31
st (75, 76).
The Bears are back on the road in a week when they travel to California for the Hollins Cup, hosted by UC Santa Cruz on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 13-14.
