GRANVILLE, Ohio – The No. 11 Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team is in fifth after the first day of competition at the Denison Invitational. The Bears have 213 points while Emory leads with 534.
 
Top Finishers

• 200 Freestyle Relay
  • Junior Andrea Leng, first-year Iris Qi, sophomore Peyton Watson and sophomore Izzie Gattone finished seventh with a time of 1:35.85
  • Graduate student Abbey Mink, sophomore Hannah Lee, first-year Maddie Sammut and senior Riya Sahota finished ninth in 1:37.01.
     
• 500 Freestyle
  • Senior Isabella Barrientos finished 13^th with an NCAA B cut time of 4:59.66
  • Junior Ali Roche took 15^th with a time of 5:02.53
     
• 200 IM
  • Junior Rin Iimi took second in the B final and 11^th overall with a time of 2:06.93
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Chen finished 15^th in 2:08.62
     
• 400 Medley Relay
  • Chen, Lee, sophomore Peyton Watson and Qi finished eighth with an NCAA B cut time of 3:49.21

 
The Bears continue competition tomorrow and wrap up Saturday. Additionally, the Bears' divers will be at Grinnell's Invitational Friday and Saturday.
