Laura Barber joined the WashU swimming & diving staff in 2018-19 to work with divers after a four-year career with the Bears.
Barber concluded her career by garnering a trip to the NCAA Division III National Championship, placing in the top-25 in both the one- and three-meter dives. She earned the trip by placing in the top-five at regionals. During her senior campaign, she set a personal-best 431.50 mark at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships in the one-meter dive.
The Decatur, Ga.-native excelled in the classroom as well as the pool, earning Google Cloud Academic All-District 5 First Team honors by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Barber also earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American First Team accolades. She graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering.
