Chloé Risto enters her sixth season as an assistant co-ed cheerleading coach at Washington University in St. Louis.
A 2004 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in psychology, Risto was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad. She served as the head coach for cheerleading here at Washington University from 2005-07, before heading to graduate school at Indiana University to receive her master's degree in higher education student affairs (M.S. 2009).
Upon returning to St. Louis in 2011, Risto joined head coach Natalie LaFranzo as assistant coach. She assists LaFranzo in the recruitment and coaching of cheerleaders, as well as in the development of the program and safety standards. Risto has completed the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrator’s (AACCA) Safety Certification Program and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
When not coaching, she serves as the MSW Program Coordinator in the Brown School of Social Work at WashU and also is an instructor at Shred415 St. Louis.
