Mike Bynum enters his second year as a graduate assistant with the Washington University in St. Louis’s Athletics Department.
Bynum is a graduate student in Olin Business School’s Full Time MBA program in the Consulting (International Business) and Entrepreneurship platforms.
A Bettendorf, Iowa native, he graduated from the University of Iowa in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. Bynum served in the U.S. Army as an Interrogator and Korean Linguist in Military Intelligence, graduating from the Basic Korean Course at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) in Monterey, Calif. He completed his service as a Commissioned Officer in the Infantry.
Bynum has coached football at multiple levels to include freshman team defensive coordinator and varsity defensive backs coach at Seaside Highschool in Seaside, Calif. in 2004-2005, assistant head coach for 7-8 year old Chiefs with River City Youth Football in Columbus, Ga. 2011-2012. He also served as a defensive coordinator/linebackers coach for a historic active duty football team, Fort Benning Dough Boys in 2011-2012. Most recently he assisted the Washington University in St. Louis football program during its 2018 Spring Football Camp.
